Calypso is seeking an ambitious, skilled, and highly organized Digital Marketing Coordinator to join its team. The ideal candidate is a recent college graduate with a degree in public relations, marketing, communication, or business administration and some professional experience—this is an entry-level position. Communications expertise, excellent time management skills, and a passion for marketing, social media, and public relations are essential to succeed in this position. Strong writing skills are required.

 

About the Job

The Digital Marketing Coordinator plays an important role on the marketing team supporting team members with the planning, implementation, and execution of client campaigns. In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day tasks including conducting research, creating social media calendars, drafting blog posts, analyzing data, documenting plans and processes, maintaining databases, and preparing reports. This position reports directly to the Marketing Director.

Responsibilities

 

Digital Marketing

  • Researching industry trends and staying up to date on current events, news, and happenings

  • Drafting copy for blog posts, media kits, websites, brochures, and other marketing materials

  • Contributing toward strategic planning, positioning, and messaging documents

  • Implementing and tracking campaigns on behalf of Calypso and its clients
  • Developing and executing social media plans for clients

Public Relations

    • Creating and maintaining awards/events/speaking opportunity calendars for clients

       

    • Developing media lists for client announcements and media outreach

       

    • Writing press releases, articles, and media materials for clients

       

    • Creating press backgrounders and media training documents for briefings

       

    • Tracking coverage and creating reports

Account Coordination/Administrative
  • Attending and documenting both internal and external client meetings
  • Preparing meeting schedules and call agendas for clients
  • Helping to facilitate intern projects
  • Providing recommendations on how to improve campaigns and projects
  • Supporting account managers and team members with additional tasks as needed

Requirements


    • BA/BS in communication, journalism, marketing (or equivalent experience)
  • Skilled writer

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic team environment
  • Knowledge of HubSpot CRM and completion of HubSpot Academy courses is a plus
